Back from the GRAVE!!!! Transformers Prime and other goodness!

Hi everyone! It has been waaay to long. Let's just say life and work have been very busy.
Since I last blogged I have relocated across the U.S. to my hometown in South New Jersey after spending nearly 20 years in smoggy LA. The east coast weather has been a character building experience to say the least. Shoveling snow, raking many many leaves and having your eye glasses fog up due to humidity has been alot of fun, but I'm not convinced this new transplant will take. Frankly I'm giving it another few years, because moving is such a drag, and we'll see how we have or haven't adjusted.
In the meanwhile I have been having a great time checking out the comics scene here on the east coast. This past year I've been in artist alley at Wizard World Philly and NYCC as well as a guest at The Garden State Comic Con. I've been incredibly inspired by the intense fans and pros I've met at these shows. I plan to repeat these in 2012 and add either Baltimore Comic Con and/or Heroes Con in Charlotte NC.
Aside from conventions I have made a few new friends here in NJ. Namely ARCANA STUDIO talents Mark Poulton, writer of Koni Waves and the new hit Image comic series Avengelyne, Dexter Weeks (color artist and letterer of Koni Waves and Avengelyne) and the MIGHTY Bob of STORMWATCH COMICS. I've had the pleasure of briefly working with Mark and Dex on a couple of little Avengelyne projects that should be popping up very soon.
Since the DC "WEDNESDAY COMICS" Deadman story I have worked on........
The gorgeous but short lived Sym-Bionic Titan with Genndy Tarkovsky's insanely talented team.
Two episodes of Cartoon Networks GENERATOR REX.
Design development for the upcoming Marvel MMO video game.
I drew, inked and toned (with ink wash) a 8 page story of The SPIRIT written by the fabulous Chip Kidd, that was turned in a full year ago and shelved due to the massive relaunch of DC's universe. Hopefully it will be dusted off soon.
Storyboarded a short sequence on a Ben 10 cg movie.
There have also been some commissions, some sketch trading cards, and a new ash can sketch book too!
Some how, also found the time to make the shift to all digital storyboarding in 2011.
For the last year and a half I have primarily been working as a storyboard artist for Hasbro on the HUB's TRANSFORMERS PRIME series. I'm very happy to be working with the incredibly talented group of artists, writers and production folks there, and hope we can go for a few more seasons. If you've seen the show you know how kick ass it is and agree that the Autobots and Decepticons have not only been fully realized in CG but fleshed out wonderfully as characters aswell. I was more of a GI JOE kid growing up, but am now completely nerding out over our tales of Cybertrons bots and can't wait for the toys. They look awesome!
In the little free time I've had, I've been chipping away at developing a comic idea with a pal that I'm insanely excited about. I plan to announce it summer of 2012.
Things I've been into recently.. Mark Shultz's sketchbooks, Gary Gianni's PRINCE VALIANT, Masters of the Universe Classics toys, and Howard Stern radio.
How's that for an update?
Thanks for hanging in there and following this blog during the "dead air time". I plan to not let it go that long again.
Check out my gallery on Deviant Art to see some of the work I've generated this last year.
Thanks for reading and see you soon!
